15. Társalgó (Humor) / Lounge (Humour)

A piarista rendházakban a 19. századtól külön társalgó is volt, ahol a tanárok esténként összegyűltek, és vidám hangulatban beszélték meg fontos dolgaikat. Korábban a recreatio helye és ideje a refektóriumban, vacsora után volt. Ilyenkor az atyák néha hangszert ragadtak, és dalra fakadtak, mint Schreier Norbert (1749–1811), aki ilyen alkalmakra szerzett Bolondos énekeket a zobori borról, a dohányról, és sok minden másról. Mások versekben vagy karikatúrákban örökítették meg rendtársaik fonák oldalát. Leggyakrabban azonban szórakoztató vagy tanulságos anekdoták hangzottak el, amelyek generációról generációra éltek tovább a magyarországi piaristák közösségében. Egyesek szállóigévé váltak, mint Schickmann Endre (1851–1906) kolozsvári piarista állítólagos szavai, aki magyarázat közben észrevette, hogy egyik diákja lelkesen jegyzetel. Ijedten rárivallt: „Ne írd marha, nem biztos!”

Piarist religious houses had a separate lounge from the 19th century where the teachers gathered in the evening and talked about their important things in a cheerful mood. Previously the place and time of recreatio was in the refectory after dinner. At that time the fathers sometimes took up musical instruments or started singing, like Norbert Schreier (1749–1811), who for such occasions composed foolish songs about Zobor’s wine, tobacco, and much more. Others immortalized the crooked aspects of their fellows in poems or in cartoons. Most often, however, entertaining or instructive anecdotes came up, that lived on from generation to generation in the community of Piarists in Hungary. Some became a byword, like the alleged words of the Piarist Endre Schickmann (1851–1906) in Clausenburg, who during an explanation noticed that one of his students was taking notes eagerly. He snapped in alarm: “Don’t write, you stupid, it is not certain!”
